Namaste!

mandala by tracy horner

Welcome. Here you will find my artwork. Lots of black ink from brushes and those little technical pens and watermedia are used to create a variety of "engineered artworks." The gallery is broken into general groupings, which I invite you to browse. For any visitors who are fans of counted cross stitch embroidery, you'll want to see the Ink Circles site, where I've created a number of special designs to be recreated with thread and linen.

I've created a coloring book from the mandala paintings I've made. The images are printed on cardstock and are spiral-bound at the top, which is great for lefties as well as right handed artists. The book opens to any page and folds back. Each page includes a test area that can be used to try out color combinations or to practice, then can be cut out and used as a bookmark.

The coloring book can be ordered from my web shop,

Print a sample "Ink Circle" to get a feel for the book. This design is not a repeat from the book.

Here is a short video that we made (my son helped with the production) that shows a time lapse of the steps of my painting a mandala. So, if you are curious as to my process, I hope this gives you a hint. Thanks for watching it.

This is an example of one of my mandala paintings:

I sell prints, originals, and items such as notecards featuring my artwork. Please visit my Etsy shop or web shop to purchase papergoods (and cross stitch patterns.) I don't have everything listed there, so feel free to drop me a line for anything you don't see. Visit the gallery pages to see the newly added mandala paintings.

The majority of works have been completely hand-drawn, hand-inked, and painted using artist quality materials. I do have a small selection of digitally drawn mandalas, and of course notecards and prints are not originals. Contact me to purchase original artwork. Custom creations are available upon request.
